Partner: Safe in India Foundation

Overview: This project aims to build the capacity of workers in India’s automotive manufacturing industry through training modules focused on workplace safety and ESIC (social security) access.

Project Steps:

1. Needs Assessment with workers and stakeholders to identify knowledge gaps.
2. Module Development in Hindi covering:
   • ESIC registration, rights, and entitlements
   • Workplace safety
   • Training of Trainers (ToT)
3. Field Testing and feedback-driven refinement of modules
4. IEC Development for easy reference and retention
5. Public Awareness through large-scale Shramik Sammelans
6. Impact Assessment by sharing a baseline and endline evaluation frameworks for Safe in India to take forward

Outcome: Better-informed workers and peer trainers, improved access to ESIC benefits, and safer workplaces.
