After more than five decades of supporting local organisations in India, Christian Aid UK felt the need to form an organisational road map that remains resilient to the changing environment of government policies, international aid scenarios, philanthropy, and corporate social responsibility.
This led to the launch of Change Alliance, a wholly owned Indian subsidiary.
Over the years, Christian Aid has built diverse partnerships with grassroots organisations, national policy and advocacy agencies, networks and campaigns, ecumenical organisations, socio-legal organisations, research institutions, the private sector and technical support organisations on disaster risk reduction (DRR) and climate change. Through Change Alliance, it seeks to offer new opportunities for engagement with a wide range of stakeholders forging partnerships to promote inclusive and sustainable growth.
In April 2014, Change Alliance took over the management of much of Christian Aid’s partner portfolio offering various business and management support services.
