About the Project

Change alliance Private Limited (CAPL) providing services to an organisation (client) working from field to fashion to validate data and facilitate promoting natural and organic cotton practices based at intervention districts of two states namely Gujarat and Rajasthan. CAPL Is appointed by the client as a third-party verifier. The project A case-control study is designed to assess the impact of the programme on various agricultural practices and identified parameters. Compare farms that participated in the Farm Programme (cases) with cotton farms that did not participate (controls). Primary research will have mixed method approach covering both quantitative and qualitative research methods. As part of the quantitative assessment, structured interviews will be conducted with the project farmers, control farmers, and Implementing Partners (IPs). The combination of quantitative and qualitative data will provide valuable insights into farmers’ experiences and perceptions. 

To manage the project, coordinate with field team, collect qualitative data, case studies, engagement with implementing partner in both the states, monitor and supervise the quantitative data collection in both case and control area, we are looking for one consultant preferably based in Rajkot of Gujarat who will be based at field and monitor the project and field team for achieving qualitative data and outcomes for both Gujarat and Rajasthan.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Ability to handle cotton related project in field with experience of more than 5 years
• Understanding of working with cotton farmers, gin and implementing partners
• Familiar with Cotton production processes, package of practices, present situation along with challenges related to cotton-based farming ecosystem in India and its associated facts.
• Knowledge about regenerative agriculture and its concepts, practices in India.
• Prior practical experience to cotton farming, cotton supply chain, and GMO testing will be helpful.
• Prior experience to conduct Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with the farmers at farm-level to understand the issues, process gaps and support required etc.
• Have knowledge about data collection methods and tools, data cleaning of raw data, quality check etc.
• Sound have knowledge on qualitative and quantitative research methods and its application processes. 
• Should be able to relocate or based at intervention areas and travel frequently as per the programme need.
• Working experience on MS Office, ODK platforms, Online platform, Geo-tagging etc.
• Have excellent writing, documentation and reporting skill should be essential.
• Must associated with professional working pattern along with well-behaviour, courage and teamwork abilities will be preferred.
