Anand Kumar BolimeraChief Executive Officer
Anand is the Chief Executive Officer at Change Alliance. In the past, he was heading the Poorest Areas Civil Society (PACS) Programme, one of the largest civil society programmes of Department for International Development (DFID) in India. He also worked as the Country Director of Christian Aid, UK India country programme. He has over two decades of extensive experience in strategic planning, programme development & design, programme implementation & partnership management, multi-stakeholder engagement and impact assessment. He led several humanitarian response programmes, which includes relief, rehabilitation and resettlement. He has worked with bilateral aid institutions and civil society organisations on long term development programmes, emergency responses, pro-poor market and enterprise-based development initiatives. He has been actively engaging with the private sector in promoting inclusive policies and diversity.
Semeda StevesHead of Programmes
Semeda is one of Change Alliance’s focal points for gender empowerment, livelihoods and health projects. She is a highly skilled trainer in the field of gender and organisational policy development. Having spent more than 28 years in the development sector, Semeda has worked on the issues of domestic violence and women’s rights, the rights of slum dwellers, human trafficking and, HIV and AIDS. Empowered with a vast experience in programme design and management, nurturing partnerships, grant management, accompaniment, monitoring and adhering to compliances and donor reporting, she is currently managing and heading programmes pan India.
Avinav KumarHead of Programmes
Avinav is a seasoned development professional with extensive experience of working in the social sector for past 16 years on multiple issues concerning the marginalised and socially excluded communities. He brings a strong understanding and work experience of integrated development issues and a multi sectoral exposure in his professional journey. He has been associated in implementation and management of large – scale development programmes right from grassroots to international NGOs in multiple states. During his association with Change Alliance, Avinav has been associated with the Poorest Areas Civil Society (PACS) Programme, an initiative of the UK Government’s Department for International Development (DFID), where he held multiple responsibilities. As Head of Programmes for PACS he led the designing of programme interventions and strategic campaigns for the seven states of PACS and managed their effective implementation with 225 Civil Society Organization partners and other stakeholders. Avinav also conceptualized and led the knowledge management portfolio of the PACS programme, synthesizing learning and experiences from the seven years of the programme. He holds a post-graduate qualification in Forest Management from India Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal and presently works with Change Alliance as Head of Programmes, based in Bhopal.
Santosh Kumar SharmaHead of Monitoring & Evaluation
Santosh works with Change Alliance as the Head of Monitoring & Evaluation. He holds an MBA and PGDRD and has done a one year advance course in Strategic Management from IIM Kolkata. He has more than two decades of experience in monitoring & evaluation, planning, research, MIS development and management, knowledge management and strategy development across India and Asia. His expertise involves different thematic areas including child rights, education, RCH, nutrition, water & sanitation, livelihood, skill development, land rights, poverty, gender, inclusion, etc. Prior to his current role, Santosh has has worked for organisations like CARE India, Indian Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR), PACS and ChildFund India in senior and leadership positions.
Arti VermaProgramme Lead
Arti works as a Programme Lead with Change Alliance. She holds a Masters in Women’s Studies from Lucknow University and is a development professional with more than 11 years of rich and varied experience in the areas of grants & partnership management, evidence based advocacy, campaigning, policy engagement and capacity building in northern states of India. Previously, Arti has worked as the State Manager for Bihar for the Poorest Areas Civil Society (PACS) Programme with Change Alliance. She has led the interventions of PACS Programme in Bihar on multiple issues and made substantive contributions. In her career, she has worked on issues related to Gender, Youth, Education, Governance, and Livelihood with a special focus on Social Inclusion.
Johnson TopnoProgramme Lead
Johnson Topno works with Change Alliance as a Programme Lead. He holds an MBA degree in Rural Management from Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi, Jharkhand and has a strong command over Partnership Programme Management (PPM) as well as organisational monitoring, evaluations and process review. In the past, he has worked as a State Manager for PACS - DFID programme in India. He is a committed development professional with 17 years of experience, engaged in a wide spectrum of conceptual programme design and management in leadership positions. Besides that, Johnson has worked with Foundation for Ecological Security (FES), a national level organization, for more than 10 years and led many initiatives in Andhra Pradesh.
Pragyan MohantyProgramme Lead
Pragyan works as a Programme Lead with Change Alliance. Prior to this she was managing the Poorest Areas Civil Society (PACS) Programme in Madhya Pradesh. She is a post graduate in Social Work with specialization in Women and Child Development. Currently, she is pursuing her Ph.D. in Women’s Studies on Gender Analysis of Government Programs and Policies for Women Empowerment. She has an extensive experience of working on gender and women’s rights issues for more than 14 years. Her key expertise lies in gender based program planning and monitoring, facilitating gender training (specific focus on violence against women, health, and adolescent reproductive and sexual health), designing and implementing gender campaigns, personal safety trainings for women and girls. She has led many gender campaigns and has facilitated number of gender trainings for a varied group of people including civil society organizations, government departments college students. She also carries rich experience of managing large-scale projects with multiple thematic focus. She has been intensely engaged with the civil society organizations in Madhya Pradesh and Odisha implementing the PACS programs by extending technical supports for effective implementation of the projects working with socially marginalized groups on social inclusion. She brings with her experience of consolidating and documenting learning experiences and producing a variety of learning and communication materials such as newsletters, booklets and organization reports and processes.
Prashant Kumar AnchalProgramme Lead
Prashant works as a Programme Lead with Change Alliance. With a PG in Rural Development, he has over 12 years of experience in social development sector, extensively in the states of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, with education as one of the key areas of focus. He has worked on both development and humanitarian issues, at state and national levels, with international development organisations like Action Aid International, CASA, and Aide et Action. Before his current assignment, Prashant has served as the State Manager for PACS - DFID programme in Uttar Pradesh. As a part of his association with PACS, he designed and rolled out State Level Campaigns on various issues in collaboration with respective Government departments & CSO partners.
Dr. Archana Shukla MukherjeeManager - Business Development & Marketing
Dr. Archana Shukla Mukherjee works as Manager – Business Development & Marketing with Change Alliance. Project design, implementation, research, analysis and report writing are her areas of expertise. She has worked extensively in the mining, tea, coffee, sugar cane, cotton and garment sectors with multiple stakeholders. She has over ten years of experience in CSR strategy, impact assessment, baseline, CSR work plan, stakeholder mapping and engagement, fieldwork, community development, partnership management, better farming, sustainable business and market linkage. Besides that, Archana has provided training on CSR, Companies Act 2013 (section 135- CSR), NGO-business partnership, Affirmative Action, Human Rights and Business Responsible Reporting, etc. and is an invited trainer at Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA).
Dheeraj Daniel HoroConsultant
Dheeraj Daniel Horo works with Change Alliance as a Consultant. He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Development from Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi, Jharkhand. His experience spans more than a decade in community mobilisation, community engagement processes, liaison, networking, project management, partnership and grant management. Prior to his association with Change Alliance, Dheeraj has worked with Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS) on ‘Community Leadership Program’ in association with the National Health Mission (NHM) where his role was to provide technical support to partner organisations responsible for field implementation. He has had an association with the CSR initiatives of Usha Martin Ltd., Ranchi, Jharkhand as an Assistant Manager (Education and Training).
Swati works as a consultant with Change Alliance. She is a Chartered Accountant with over 15 years of experience in the finance domain, in a multi-cultural, multi-dimensional and multi-sectorial environment. In the initial 7 years of her career, she had worked with for-profit corporates. Later, she headed the finance of the PACS - DFID programme. Swati’s key strengths are grant management, legal compliances, risk management, devising policies and procedures for large scale grant programmes and ensuring their implementation and strategic management of finance to achieve best value for money
Meenakshi GandotraResearch Associate
Meenakshi Gandotra works as a Research Associate in in the M&E team at Change Alliance. Her education has been in Psychology ( Bachelors) and in Social work (MSW). With eight years of experience, her major strength lies in program management, capacity building and monitoring fieldwork, qualitative and quantitative research analysis and impact assessments. She has worked on the thematic areas of Gender, WASH, Education and Skill development with various national and International organisations at Change Alliance and otherwise. She is a fellow ‘changemaker’ in the She Creates Change Program of Change.org Foundation and is certified Master trainer for “Developing Young Women as Social Entrepreneurs,” through IIMK and British Council. She is comfortable in verbal and written communication in English, Hindi and Marathi; in addition to, that, she possesses a basic understanding of Punjabi and Gujarati language.
S. Mahesh KumarProgram Manager
S. Mahesh Kumar works as a Program Manager, leading the efforts of driving ethical supply chain within the framework of Gender Justice in the ready-made garment factories of Bangalore. He comes with over 10 years of experience in rights-based programming, deliberating with the issues of social exclusion and exploitation experienced by the oppressed communities, women and children. He has Master of Arts in Social Work from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai and Pursuing PhD from TISS . He has led entire spectrum of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) functions including community development initiatives and program design assessments. He is a certified assessor from the Tata Group to evaluate and monitor the CSR programs of the group holdings, skilled in handling large projects and creating positive impact for the benefit of local community. He has initiated the partnership and stakeholder management with Marks and Spencer and British High Commission to implement Prevention of Gender Based Violence in the garment sector to uphold the Modern-Day Slavery Act of UK and is managing multi brand project of garment sector in South India since 2016.
Pragya JainResearch Manager
Pragya Jain works as Research Manager in the M&E team in Change Alliance. She did her Master’s in Business Economics, and is a Gold medalist from the University of Delhi. With 10 years of experience, Pragya specializes in Quantitative Research techniques, analysis of large data-sets and supervising monitoring & evaluation of For-Profit and Non-Profit organizations. She has conceptualized and executed large scale programme evaluations for Govt of India schemes, and aid activities of bilateral and multilateral organizations and Government departments and ministries at central and state levels. She has strong experience in using experimental and quasi experimental research designs. She has strong command over the statistical softwares (R-Studio, SPSS, Stata , E-Views etc). She specializes in using analytics in the domains of Livelihood, Health, Nutrition, Education, Water and Sanitation etc.
